Levi’s is America’s original jeans and Denim maker. Offering multiple, they specialize in jeans. However, it also includes other non-denim apparel and is popular all over the world.

Levi’s story begins when German immigrant Levi Strauss came to the United States in the mid-1800s carrying the American Dream with him. He arrived in San Francisco during the California Gold Rush and realized for the need of more sturdy workwear. Teaming up with the tailor Jacob Davis, he created durable pants made from denim fabric, reinforced with copper rivets. He patented his design in 1873 and these became the first blue jeans.

Their jeans gained popularity among miners, cowboys, and laborers, thanks to their unmatched durability. In 1890, they released the first ever so-named 501 jeans which is still produced today. Over time, they transcended workwear to symbolize the American West’s adventurous spirit and rebellious counterculture in the 1950s and 1960s.

Levi’s eventually expanded their product range beyond just jeans and began to offer various denim and non-denim products.

With a global reach, their jeans found their way into the wardrobes of people worldwide. From rugged cowboys to urban trendsetters, Levi’s became a beloved brand for all.

In recent times, the company embraced sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly practices and materials to reduce its environmental impact.
